LEBANON BUS STOP RELOCATION

August 24, 2010 - Effective Wednesday, August 25, Red Route buses will depart downtown Lebanon from the front of Lebanon City Hall. Blue Route buses heading toward DHMC and Hanover will also depart from City Hall. These buses will no longer serve Flynn or Court Streets. Blue Route buses departing for Enfield and Canaan will be the only buses serving Court Street, with departures at 5:15 a.m., 6:20 a.m., 8:10 a.m., 2:50 p.m. (school year only), 4:20 p.m., and 5:45 p.m.

LEBANON BUS STOP WORKSHOPS

May 24, 2010 - The City of Lebanon and Advance Transit are looking at ways to improve the design of bus stops in town. Please join the design team for a public workshop to look at our ideas and share some of your own. Workshops will be held on Monday, June 7 at Mt. Lebanon School, and Wednesday, June 9 in the City council chambers at Lebanon City Hall. Both workshops start at 7:00 p.m. Click here for a workshop poster.

SCHEDULES ADJUSTED MARCH 15

March 4, 2010 - Advance Transit will introduce schedule adjustments effective March 15, 2010. A morning Brown route bus will depart the Norwich park and ride lot at 8:05 a.m. instead of 8:23 a.m. This trip will include a 20 minute layover at Vail DMS before continuing north to CRREL. The afternoon Blue route EXPRESS to Canaan will depart five minutes earlier, departing Vail DMS at 4:45 p.m. and DHMC at 5:05 p.m. The regular Blue route bus to Lebanon will depart Vail DMS at 4:50 p.m. and DHMC at 5:10 p.m. The last Red route bus of the day will depart West Lebanon for Lebanon at 6:25 p.m. instead of 6:30 p.m. New schedules include a handful of other minor Blue, Brown, and Red route adjustments. Green and Orange route timetables remain unchanged.

VTRANS PROVIDES ADDITIONAL STIMULUS FUNDS FOR AT

Advance Transit has been awarded Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) through the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) to purchase two transit buses. The contract for the diesel-powered buses has been awarded throgh a competitive process to Northern Bus Sales in Hudson, New Hampshire.

The 27-passenger International / Eldorado buses will meet new EPA emissions requirements for diesel engines and will emit 90% less nitrous oxides or NOX, and 90% less particulate than previous models.
